What personal information do we collect?

When you deal with us directly, the personal information we collect generally includes your name, address, email address and contact numbers. We only collect personal information that we need.

When you use our website, we also collect information about your visit, including your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at our site. If you submit an enquiry through our website, we collect the details you provide in that form.

How do we use personal information?

We need to collect personal information so that we can provide our products and services and conduct our business. This includes arranging and tracking transport, quoting, invoicing, responding to enquiries, and follow-up correspondence including marketing.

Cookies and website analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, so that we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device and collects information such as your IP address, the pages you visit, how long you spend on them, and the general location and device you are browsing from. This information is used in aggregate and we do not use it to identify individual visitors.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using the browser add-on Google provides. Blocking cookies will not stop you using the site.

Service providers and information sent overseas

We use a small number of service providers to run our business and our website. Some of them store or process information outside New Zealand. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that the information will be protected by comparable safeguards to those in the Privacy Act 2020.

Our website is hosted by Vercel, enquiries submitted through our website are delivered using Resend, and our website analytics are provided by Google. If you use our online quote tool, address suggestions are provided by Google Places.

We may also share your personal information where the law requires it, or with service providers in or outside New Zealand who provide services in connection with our own products and services.

Security

We take reasonable steps to ensure the security of your personal information. We frequently update our anti-virus software to protect our systems from computer viruses. Further, all our employees are required, as a condition of employment, to treat personal information held by us as confidential. However, you should be aware that the internet is not a secure environment. We cannot protect personal information before it reaches us.
